Initially, the carbon molecular structure breaks down & the plastic absorbs moisture. The material then oxidizes into small fragments, which are converted into the natural elements of water, C02, biomass and minerals thru microbial activity. The remaining end products therefore pose no threat to groundwater sources or agricultural soils and adhere to ASTM-6400 standards.
